But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. [1 Corinthians 15v10] – New King James Version
In school, people got furious with themselves because they were 2nd or 3rd ranked in class while others also got pretty thrilled because they narrowly made it to the next class. This may sound ridiculous to you but this is happening in the spirit realm as well. While people are thinking about the rewards they will get in heaven, others are wishing they might make it there.
People are wallowing in sin but others are also enjoying themselves in the Lord. The difference between the two is learning to live by grace. Grace has been watered down by some preachers but the truth can’t be hidden. It is true that grace means unmerited favour and/or mercy but more importantly, it’s the ability of God.
Actually, we live in the dispensation of grace and that gives us the ability to live above sin. God’s ability resides in us through the Spirit of grace (Holy Spirit) and we need to learn to tap into it to live to please Him. His empowerment will not just fall on us, we need to learn to hook-up with it.
You may be yelling at God to help you get back to the place of prayer, to live above sin, to get to the place where you were ardent in the word and it seems God is too busy on tours over the world – remember His ability is always available but it won’t do the work for you, you need to believe His power is available for you and then start to do whatever you want to do by faith and His grace will catch you up. Grace works through faith. Hallelujah!!
