WALK ON THE DEVIL

Writer's picture: El Stephen A. AsanteEl Stephen A. Asante

a We know that God's children do not make a practice of sinning, b but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. [1 John 5:18] – a New Living Translation & b New King James Version.

I walk in the glory I am walking in because I have always sought after the truth for myself. I know what I know because I have hunted for them personally through books. I spend much time digging out the truth of the Word to know them for myself and that is how the Christian faith ought to be. There are many things that are freely ours but we are oblivious about and a hunger to know for ourselves is the catalyst to know all things. One is our authority over the devil.

When I was on campus, I read a book by Bishop David Oyedepo – satan get lost. A lady friend saw that book on my bed and was just frightened by the title of the book. I call the devil – foolish devil (toy) always but to some people that is a scary thing to do. I don’t “book” that stupid creature. If you have read the Word enough, you will know the authority you have over that pet.

Ephesians 1:20-23 says, “which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. I can see myself in this scripture because Ephesians 2v6 says, “and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”. That toy is not your match. You care to believe it or not.

Numbers 23:23-24 says “there is no sorcery against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob and of Israel, 'Oh, what God has done!' Look, a people rises like a lioness, and lifts itself up like a lion; it shall not lie down until it devours the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain. You are rather fearful to that pet. The truth is - you can’t live anyhow and still have dominion over that toy. The intro scripture says, We know that God's children do not make a practice of sinning, but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and THE WICKED ONE DOES NOT TOUCH HIM”. Live over sin and walk on the devil!!
