HOSTING HIS PRESENCE

A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out. [Leviticus 6:13] – New King James Version.

Apostle Guillermo Maldonado once said, “We were created for the glory, to carry it and to live in the atmosphere of the presence of God”. I believe this 100% because Adam and Eve lived in that atmosphere before the fall of man but the death and resurrection of Jesus brought us back to the Garden, figuratively. Adam and Eve were clothed with the glory or presence (fire) of God and that is what we need to be clothed with as believers. Many people experience the presence of God only in a Church service but we need to learn to carry it or host that presence.

The Word says, “The fire shall always be burning on the altar”. The fire or presence of God only keeps burning on the altar – the altar is the place where our will, emotions and deepest cravings are exchanged for that of God’s. Hosting the presence of God stems from developing a passion for God which covers the condition of our heart and the state of our mind. We can ignite our passion for God through a lifestyle of fasting – not just going without food but that condition of life we live in when we are fasting.

The Bible records that people became so drenched with the fire of God that handkerchiefs from their body became a weapon of humiliation for the dark world. Throngs of people were healed by the shadow of a man who had the presence of God on his life because he had a personal relationship with God. Anyone who wants to host the presence of God should learn how to be alone with the Lord and develop a deep personal relationship with God – treat Him as a Person.

We can host His presence as we camp on the Word. The bible says as we behold Him we are changed into His image (see 2 Corinthians 3v18). Many explain this verse only in relation to attitudinal and behavioural change but it was talking about the glory or presence of God right from the beginning (v7). The Word sustains the presence. Pray in tongues. Worship get the fire burning on you. You can host the presence of God because you were created to carry it always. Am burning with the fire of God. Yea Now!! Hallelujah!!
