But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. [Romans 5v8] – New King James Version

What does accepting the death of Jesus mean to you? Salvation? Yea. For many people, salvation is merely a fire insurance, a way to escape eternity in hell. Is that the whole scope of salvation? If God so wanted us badly in heaven, He should have killed us immediately after we got saved. I got saved some years ago and am still on planet earth. I believe salvation have benefits which cover our stay here on earth.

We have so narrowed the benefits of the death of Jesus into eternity but what about time? Jesus’ death bought for us every good thing that our heart could wish for. Do you know that the death of Jesus also mean He is our substitute? The Bible says, He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (see II Corinthians 5v21). Righteousness is what Jesus has paid for us to be and it’s not just a talk but what we have been empowered by His death to be.

I read a staggering from Kenneth E. Hagin’s book – plans, purpose and pursuit. The Lord said to Kenneth, “I don’t want to heal my people, I want them healed”. The Lord further explained that He wanted His people always healed that they will not need Him to heal them. The scriptures says, “By His stripes we “WERE” healed (see 1 Peter 2v24). Prosperity has been paid for (see II Corinthians 8v9).

Believers are not getting the full benefits of salvation (redemption) because we have not been reading what is on the receipt – the bible. What is on the receipt builds our faith to believe for those things written in. Bill Johnson once said, “Faith explores what revelation reveals. Get into the Word and receive what Jesus paid for you!!
